The Technical Communication Certificate Program has been established to prepare Cal Poly students for careers in professional communication. The technical communication field includes a range of skills associated with professional communication such as problem-solving, public speaking, publication design and production, team building, website creation and other uses of new media communication strategies.

The program is designed so that the certificate can be easily accompany the completion of most other degrees at Cal Poly. Most students only need to take a few additional classes in addition to their major-field requirements.
