Cal Poly Admissions makes this decision, not the Psychology & Child Development Department.
For information on admissions, please see the Cal Poly Admissions web page.

Cal Poly has a separate agreement with each community
college on which of their classes count for Cal Poly classes.
See an advisor at your community college to find out which

How hard is it to get into the psychology or child development majors?
This is not an easy question to answer as the number of students we are able to admit varies. However, these figures from Fall 1999 may be of some assistance.
We had 72 transfer students apply to our Child Development major and accepted 20 (28% of transfer applicants were accepted). Their average grade point average was 3.44.
We had 171 transfer students apply to our Psychology major and we accepted 30 (17.5% of transfer applicants were accepted). Their average grade point average was 3.64.
How do I apply?
Take a look at the Cal Poly Admissions web pages for application information.
